How to clean your soccer boots

2018-03-29

The long Easter weekend is officially upon us and that can only mean one thing, activity galore! After a long day of fun in the sun with a soccer ball, here is how you can easily clean your Mille soccer boots.

Let’s start with the basics. Knock off any excess dirt which may be under the boot. Make sure you hit the underneath of the shoes against each other to get off any mud or grass which may be stuck there.

Now for some elbow grease. Use a soft brush and cleaning solution to scrub the bottom of the shoe. This will loosen any dry clumps of grass or mud which may be stuck between the spikes.

The cleaning solution you use should be a combination of warm water and a small amount of soap. Adding a lot of soap will not only give you extra unneeded foam but it will make it difficult for you to do some proper cleaning.

When cleaning the side of the shoes, be sure to not be as vigorous as it may damage the material of the shoe. Also, beware not to use any sharp objects to remove access dirt on the shoe. This will do more damage than good as it could scratch or damage the shoe.

After washing your soccer boots with the soap solution, take a cloth and wipe the shoes to remove any stubborn dirt that may still be there. Paper towels also do a good job with this as they gather any access dirt and they also allow you to use your fingers to reach in tiny areas between the spikes.
