How To Best Take Care Of Your Sneakers

2017-10-06

It is always such a shame to see a good pair of sneakers go to the trash bin just because they weren’t taken care of properly? We say enough is enough, here are a few ways to make sure that your precious gems last a day longer.

The logical thing for someone to do when cleaning sneakers is to smother them in cleaning detergent in the hopes that all the grime and marks will come out. This may have worked before but here are even better hacks to make sure that your sneakers get squeaky clean.

Let’s start small. Laces are an important part of your sneaker, which often aren’t given that much attention. We suggest a normal cold wash, if you are lazy and would rather opt for using a washing machine, then rather put the laces in a pillow case and let them wash away.

For the shoe’s outer sole, take normal dishwashing liquid and water and a spray it on the dirty area. Scrub with a brush until clean. If the stain is stubborn, re-spray to remove the dirt and grime then towel them dry. Follow the same process for the mid-sole but with a softer brush. The reason why most sneakers don’t last long is because they are not treated with care and attention. Most of the chemicals and tools used are too abrasive. In cases where the stain will not come out and you have tried all our suggestions, we suggest that you visit your nearest Mille retailer to get professional advice.
